“Save Me” means more to me than I can explain.
From the first time I heard it, it spoke to the parts of me that have felt broken, lost, and hard to love.
There have been so many times in my life when I’ve felt like a lost cause. Like I wasn’t enough. Like maybe I didn’t deserve love at all. That’s why this song hit me the way it did.
When Travis Baze and I decided to do this, it wasn’t just about covering a song. It was about telling the truth through it. The verse I added came from a very real place: “Filled with the pain that I’m living in…”
That line is personal to me. It comes from living with pain you can’t always explain, only carry.
Music has a way of pulling things out of you that would otherwise stay buried. Writing and singing through that pain has been one of the most healing things I’ve ever known.
