Life Is Cheap comes from a place of feeling worn down by life—when pain, resentment, disappointment, and uncertainty start piling up until everything feels heavier than it should.
The title isn’t meant to say that life has no value. It reflects what life can feel like in those moments when you are exhausted, discouraged, and questioning what any of it means.
One of the lines that stays at the center of the song is:
“What we sow is what we reap.”
To me, that line is about consequences, but also about choice. We may not be able to change everything that has already happened, but we can still think about what we are planting now—what we feed, what we carry, and what we want to grow from here.
Life Is Cheap is raw because sometimes the first step toward something different is simply being honest about where you are.
